One of the things I miss the most in Japan...
is a gay and lesbian community. I know it is partially because I am in Japan, partially because I live in a rural area, and partially because they arent many people around me at all, much less gay, lesbian, and bi….
but I really, really miss being a fruit fly. a fag hag. whatever you want to call it. I miss my tranny friends and my butch lesbian friends.
I miss “bitch” days where me and my boys would dress in our finest and spoil ourselves and shop and drink champagne and complain about the men in our lives. I miss women who know the best pool halls and the best beer and kind of resemble John Goodman. I even miss my bi and lipstick lesbians who just get rowdy when no one is looking (or for that matter, when EVERYONE is looking). I miss demanding to know who the hell has my nice Chloe bra and having a gaggle of laughing gents throw a sofa cushion at me and refuse the return of my very fine bra, for it fits one of them better anyways. I want to snuggle down into a pile of bois and boys and watch margret cho dvds more than anything right now.
